It was going to be a full house but two people who’ve registered are now unable to come, so we still have openings for residential practice during this retreat. If you don’t require lodging, you may register for just daytime practices. Sokuzan will give Dharma talks each day and is available for personal interviews to discuss your practice. For more details, visit our retreats page or contact Kozan
There is still room to register for the Traverse City, Michigan meditation retreat “What Should I Do? Sokuzan Talks about Consensus Reality” Friday April 17th-Saturday April 18th. See the announcement/registration page for details. If you are interested, please contact Kozan. (April 18th is Sokuzan’s birthday so please come and help us celebrate!)
Also Sokuzan will be giving a public talk on Monday April 20th 7:00pm to 9:00pm: “Meditation: Mundane or Spiritual?” at Kirkbride Hall in The Village at Grand Traverse Commons in Traverse City. This is also known as “The Chapel” in the renovated historic state hospital buildings. Suggested donation is $10.00.
This Dharma talk arose out of Q and A during Sokuzan’s visit to Traverse City, Michigan in March 2015. Many of the questions that came up were about social activism. Sokuzan encourages us to use the practice of meditation to help us see that taking action does not necessarily require taking a position. (Our camera battery died out before the end of the talk but most of it is here! )
Sokuzan will visit Traverse City again to lead us in the meditation retreat April 17th and 18th: “What Should I Do?” Sokuzan Talks about Consensus Reality. For more information, refer to the announcement/registration page
