Whatever arises, don’t blame. If you find someone in front of you who is judging you or giving you a hard time, if you’re really present, you see that they are doing it because of their own suffering. You see the fundamental situation that everything is dependently arisen. There is no one to blame.
Don’t forgive, just stop blaming. How? See the way you blame and do nothing with that. Expand your awareness. Forgiveness is usually more about your getting out of feeling badly.
When the knot in your heart starts to twist up, just look at it instead of blaming yourself or someone else for how you feel. All proof is partial.
When the feeling of blame comes up… back up a little bit. See what that is. The minute you point the finger at someone or even at yourself, you reinforce duality. Don’t try to get rid of the blame. Just see it. How? By sitting down and looking at your mind. Do a lot of it.
