The Shuso ceremony (Shuso Hossen Shiki lit. Head Seat’s Dharma Combat Ceremony) is a traditional ceremony for a teacher in training. Shodo will sit in front of the Sangha and will be expected to respond to any questions presented to him by the Sangha.
