As Sokuzan's vision for SokukoJi Buddhist Temple Monastery evolves, we have a number of development projects for the Monastery, its residents, grounds and buildings,

and the Battle Creek Community.

This project aims at maintaining a fund that directly supports the residence and tuition costs for those Sangha members who  are living and practicing full-time at the Monastery in Battle Creek.

Building Projects

Help us finance new and ongoing building and property projects, including  the renovation of existing spaces, and the purchase of adjoining properties. This will enable us to provide more accommodation for visitors and residents, indoor meeting venues, a two-story library, and spaces for gardens and open-air meditation settings.

Karma House Community Education Center

Karma House is a community oriented holistic wellness center. We are located in the historic Northside neighborhood of Battle Creek, MI, in the former landmark Meyer's Toy World.  Our vision is to form collaborative relationships with local organizations, aligning with community-determined goals.

We are currently working  to provide a wide array of youth programs, allowing us to  foster and strengthen our relationships with local schools, education centers, libraries and other community-based groups.
